Raising ‘em Right Homestead is a homestead that offers pasture-raised, non-GMO AKKPS registered and KPPA Certified Purebred KuneKune pigs and pork. We sell breeding stock, roasters, and meat by the cut. We work to offer our community an opportunity to cultivate the farm-to-table experience firsthand, knowing exactly where your pork comes from.

WHY our PASTURE RAISED KUNEKUNES?
Here’s what makes our KuneKunes so special.
QUALITY
We follow best practices passed down to us by the EKPA mentorship program. We follow their breeding practices, raising practices, and feeding protocols. We constantly study and improve on how to successfully raise and better the KuneKune breed standard for both pork and breeding purposes.
MARBLING
KuneKune pigs are known to yield one of the highest grades of pork. The meat’s deep red color with marbling throughout every cut is a culinary and nutritional dream. The intramuscular fat of the KuneKune pork is silky and has a sweet undertone, unmatched by any other pork.
NON GMO, NO CORN
Our pigs are rotated on open pastures and fed a daily fermented ration that includes non-GMO barley, wheat, oats, alfalfa, beets, minerals and more. We avoid corn to promote a healthy balance of intramuscular and exterior fat on our cuts.
NUTRITION
Pasture-raised KunkeKune pork, compared to conventionally raised pork, has 90% more vitamin E, Omega 9, 33% more Omega 3, and 66% more Omega 6 fatty acids. It also has 2.8x more vitamin D than commercial pork.
SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is key in raising our KuneKune pigs on pasture. They roam on our 30 acres of rolling hills, promoting natural behaviors while minimizing environmental impact. Our rotational grazing practices rejuvenate the land, promoting biodiversity and soil health.
KNOW YOUR ORIGIN
We are a Certified Farrowing Farm, which means we are able to provide DNA testing to verify your purchased KuneKune stock is purebred. We are also on the Exclusive Breeders list with AKKPS and all our stock are registered through the organization.
